APT HOLMAN 1 AMPLIFIER ***LEVEL 3 UPGRADE**

Upgraded circa 2013 to Level 3 in Massachusetts  200-300 hours of use since then....its mostly been in storage. The nicest case have seen and I've had half a dozen  APT amps and pre-amps over the years. I see a few scuffs at certain angles...but that's it.

Level 3 repair and upgrade is a true audiophile modernizing of the amplifier. All circuits are brought up to last version amp tweaks. Doubled values of capacitors in multi-tiered power supply, as well as double or tripled values on amp boards. Again I will comment that the amp was slightly design limited due to space of parts placement and type of capacitor which were available 30 years ago. Actually the electronic circuit design was almost perfect then, but crucial value changes of capacitors and quality of parts used indeed allows the amp to achieve a better 2db more headroom, and 2db of noise floor. Circuit boards are dismantled and checked for any weakened or thin soldering (seldom found but worth the effort). Re-wetting of transistor heat sink thermal paste, reset bias and D.C. volt offset calibrations.
