No speaker at this price range can match the musicality offered here. The beryllium tweeter is in a class by it self. The mid-range is OUTSTANDING highs are airy, the separation and soundstage are first rate. Bass is tight and authoritative for an 8" it is simply unbelievable. It is a very very musical speaker. A world class speaker.

Although the 8" 2-Way is the smallest and the least expensive speaker system that Orinda Acoustics manufactures, it is still a very accurate design that can provide musical satisfaction to the most discriminating audiophiles.
This current version (the third) features a new 260mm horn, an extensively revised cross-over and internal cables.

The woofer is of European origin, and has a very high efficiency of 94db/watt, yet can handle 200 watts of power. It employs a specially treated paper cone, a 2" voice coil and a neodymium magnetic assembly.
The high frequency compression driver comes with either an aluminum diaphragm (the basic Al model) or a beryllium diaphragm (for the more advanced Be model). The efficiency is 111 db/watt.
The speaker also features a twin cabinet design employing a separate bass and tweeter module. This design ensures optimum bass response out of the 200mm woofer.
