Questions for the seller |

Hello,
I was wonder what your opinion of this tonearm was? I have a Basis Ovation and I'm considering upgrading to a tangential type arm. Hi Ryan, Thanks for the inquiry. This is an excellent arm that is well constructed and sounds great with practically any cartridge that it is properly installed. Basis turntables work well with it. I have also owned an ET2 air bearing tonearm and this one compares very favorably to it. Also noticed that the Advanced Analog's price has gone up on ebay where it is now being sold. |
Hello,
Thank you for the response. I wonder how this arm compares to the Vector 3 my Basis currently has on it. I'll keep this in mind as a possibility for a change. Can't really tell you since I have not used or heard the Vector arms. |
I'm not familiar with the arm you have. Is your plinth drilled especially for it? Would the Basis-modified arms fit it? Originally the plinth was drilled for a Basis modified Rega RB300 arm, but I increased the diameter of the mounting hole to accommodate a Jelco arm, before installing the Advanced Analog arm which needed two additional small holes drilled on the table. One for the screw to mount the arm and the other for the air supply hose to the MG-1 arm. |
I meant the Basis-modified Rega arms... Would those work with your table as is? The RB 250 and the RB 300 Rega Basis modified arms will not fit. The diameter of the mounting hole has been enlarged from 25.5 mm to 32.2 mm to fit a Jelco arm, which is what I used before I installed the Advanced Analog MG-1 arm. |
