Stereo Pre-amp in excellent condition. Fully tested and serviced by certified
Mark Levinson audio shop, Pyramid Audio in Austin, TX, immediately before
listing for sale. The minimalistic sculpted ML-1 preamplifier possesses a
timeless appearance with its slim line visual footprint and symmetrical control
layout. As with all Levinson products, the ML-1 is completely black anodized,
with white lacquer filled engravings. This unit was used solely in a smoke-free
environment. This unit comes with an oak cabinet. The ML-1 could be ordered
with several encapsulated modules for different gain, which can be changed as
turntable cartridges are changed to suit the audiophile system configuration in
use. This unit comes with 3-pairs of cards, and the original card plier. All
Levinson equipment from that era use Camac connectors for all audio inputs and
outputs. This unit will come with a few Camac equipped wire interconnects.



This ML-1 is powered with an outboard power supply, the PLS-151. The separate
power supply assures the lowest possible noise. When the ML-1 was introduced it
was considered to be the best solid state preamp available on the market. The
sound is clean, precise but musical and smooth. The sound quality is rivaled
today only by newer, more expensive gear. The phono section is still one of the
smoothest regardless of cost. (The ML-1 was the first ML-x product and the
ML-12a the last). With a ML-1 or any ML series product you’ll buy a piece of
that history, and that’s a compelling proposition for some.  (We will also entertain breaking up the package to sell separately:  the entire package as listed, the preamp without extra cards, or without the cabinet, and without the extra cables - make us a reasonable offer.)
