Onyx SP3 II integrated amplifier (manufactured by Melody for AV123)
This compact (12"W by 8"H by 13.25"D) SP3 weighs 56 pounds, most of that are the massive transformers. There are 10 tubes (see specs below) outputting 38 clean watts. It looks very sharp with the tube cage on, but equally as cool with it removed (your choice). The volume control is stepped and feels great in the hand.
I have the standard set of tubes that it came with, some marked Melody, but included is also a second set of Tung Sol 5881 power tubes, which I preferred overall. 4 ohm and 8 ohm speaker taps. 2 inputs.
This is a little gem of an amp and I hate parting with it, but I can no longer set up a second system. It would be perfect in a smaller room matched with a nice set of monitor speakers. The sound is musical, detailed, and robust and shoots far, far above its budget price (mostly because AV123 only sold direct and cut out the middle man and his markup),

| How long have you has it and are you the original owner?
Ron I've owned it for 2 years, but the last 9 months it has been in a box. We moved 9 months ago and I don;t have any place I can use it in our new home.
The previous owner said he had it for a year, he told me it threw out too much heat for the cabinet he had it in. There's a lot of tubes, so that's understandable.
I really hate having to sell this. It sounds glorious and sings wonderfully but I have no need for it and the itch to buy another piece of equipment (maybe a new DAC) means I have to sell something else.
