Took this Dobbins built MK3 in trade on a Beat MagDrive TT. I have recently gone through every aspect of this unit and it performs perfect. Absolute steady speed. Strong motor. Dead quiet. All of the capacitors and a few other parts have been replaced with upgraded equivalents. As I said, it is right.
The power supply has some scratches and shows some wear on the on/off button but inside, it is 100%. The power supply/controller is the rare adjustable voltage unit. It will accommodate 100v/120v/230v either 50 or 60Hz. Most power supplies seen are for the Japanese market which is 100v input. It will come with two new armboards suited to your tonearm.
This MK3 is different from most other complete MK-3's you'll see. I attach the motor assembly directly to a specific material which drains most of the motor's excess energy to the Stillpoints feet so it can't get to the tonearm/cartridge or back to the record itself. This results in a new level of quiet and black backgrounds when playing music. It also adds to the dynamics in a very good way. I do have the original top aluminum square housing if you want it.
I will guarantee the operation of TT and power supply for one full year.
