Infinity IRS V. Includes a few of (extra, for spare) brand-new EMIM drivers. All of the original EMIM drivers are still fine, though.  One of the woofer towers needs adjustment, otherwise, a marvelous sounding system.  Arguably, one of the most accurate transducers ever produced.  Quoted from The Absolute Sound "This was the last version of the original Infinity Reference System, and, by any measure, the best, standing second to none in frequency range, in a top-to-bottom coherency that had eluded designer Arnie Nudell in the earlier three versions (yes, three, there was no IV), and in an overall faithfulness to the real thing that exceeded Nudell’s best previous efforts. The EMIT tweeters had been considerably updated (so that there was less grain, less artificial brightness, and a sound just a few steps below that of Jim Winey’s Magnepan true ribbon); the EMIT and the ENIN midranges (a replacement for the Series One’s bipolar ribbons) were both now planar “ribbons”; and the non-Watkins graphite-fiber woofers, all 12 of them, were now powered by a 2000-watt amp (up from 1500 in the Series III). What this, finally, accomplished, along with a few other mods, was a seamless sonic transition between the bass and the upper drivers—a first in a Nudell product. A dream realized and a dream for this listener."Harry Pearson
The base units are self-powered. The mid/high towers (the wide, curved towers with array of ribbons) may be run with one stereo or two mono amplifiers, but they are also constructed for easy bi-amping, requiring no tinkering. For no-holds-barred analog experience through bi-amping the mid/high towers, which will allow  EMITs (high) and EMIMs (mid) run by separate, dedicated power amplifiers, will include Accuphase F-25 active cross-over unit with dedicated cross-over frequency dividers to meet the original passive cross-over spec. This combination makes it also possible to use lower-powered but sweeter sounding power amps for mid and high freqs. separately, alleviating the need for a perfect amplifier-both powerful and delicate at the same time, if there is such a thing.  Tubes and lower-powered Classe amps produced great results when the mid/high were bi-amped.  Set includes two base towers, two mid/high panels, servo control unit, cables, manuals and F-25 active cross-over amp. Will not ship - pick up in Los Angeles only.

Questions for the seller
Are the EMIM magnets showing any signs of peeling?
no.
What type of adjustment does the woofer tower need?
The one of the bass towers seem to sound louder than the other. The power amplifiers and the servo control unit should be examined, I think.
