Acoustic Signature Primus

For your consideration is a near mint 5 month old Primus Turntable with the TA-1000 arm that comes standard with the WOW XL & XXL. This is a significant upgrade over the standard TA-500 arm that comes with the table. I ordered this without the cartridge since I had a cartridge to mount on it. The cartridge pictured is not included in this deal. As you can see this has the new power supply that allows you to use whatever aftermarket power cable for far greater performance than the original Wal-wart. You can select the speed 33 or 45 up front without moving of the belt. I am moving up the Acoustic Signature line so that is the reason for the sale.

At the new PRIMUS we combine a MDF and chipwood-sandwich and a high gloss surface to reduce vibration. This sandwich construction is a perfect fit for the Tidorfolon-bearing holding the platter. A new DC-motor combined with „State of the Art“-regulating electronic, provide perfect speed stability and easy operation.

The PRIMUS comes with a precisely manufactured aluminum platter. He is produced out of a solid piece of soft aluminum. To improve his resonance behavior the platter is additionally coated on the
back side with a high damping material to get great results. The thickness of 24 mm gives him a weight of 4,5 kilogram. Much more than normally used in this price point.

We at ACOUSTIC SIGNATURE believe that a motor system for a turntable should have enough energy to speed up the platter and keep him steady spinning but not in uence him during rotation. We reach that aim by using a new developed DC-motor drive combined with our own „State of the Art“- motor control and a external power supply.
