$2000 when new... early 2000's. All out effort at the time, note the copper chassis! Bought on the advise of an honest high end audio shop, and as a CD player it outperformed my $10k Metronome sytem at the time. For the money, its a great CD/ DVD player for a starter audiophile system, but also makes for a superb transport when paired with a high end DAC. No remote.
