Rega RP6 Hybrid

I've just put the finishing touches on a Rega RP6 turntable "hybrid" with a many mods and customizations:

- The plinth is a hand rubbed 3 layer Baltic Birch plywood sandwich with real cherry veneer edges.

- The feet are Pure Fidelity damped aluminum.

- This turntable includes a Pure Fidelity aluminum subplatter and bearing with a zirconia/ceramic ball bearing. A brand new Rega glass platter and upgrade felt mat are included.

- The tonearm began life as a JA Michel tonearm which has been completely rebuilt with new damping material and rewired (internal and external) with Origin Live cables. The stub and counterweight have also been upgraded to hardened steel and tungsten (pulled from an old RB600 project).

- The tonearm mount is a 3 piece damped washer to further isolate the tonearm from motor vibrations.

- The motor and electronics are brand new Rega OEM 24V, including a high performance aluminum pulley and the Rega upgraded white belt.

- The cartridge is a brand new Ortofon 2M Blue, which has been mounted and aligned. Other cartridges are available as upgrade options (e.g. Wilson Benesch Carbon MC - at a great price - Ortofon 2M Black, Ortofon MC Turbo-3, etc. Of course any of the aforementioned cartridges are available separately.)

- A brand new Rega TT PSU with a custom 1 amp power supply is available as an upgrade option for $300.

The following parts are new on this turntable:
- Plinth, motor & electronics, subplatter, platte, felt mat, bearing, belt, feet, tonearm wiring, tonearm mount, cartridge, dust cover and hinges. (please note: the subplatter and feet are B-stock with some minor, non-functional blemishes.)

The following parts are used on this turntable:
- Tonearm wand with vertical bearings, both of which exhibit minor blemishes.

None of the blemishes referred to above are visible when the turntable is fully assembled and on display.

Due to the mostly new nature of this turntable, it is being offered with a 1 year limited warranty. A limited warranty means that the buyer will be responsible for any costs associated with returning the turntable to Hyendaudio Services. All parts and labor to repair any defective component (which is related to manufacturing defects) will be provided at no cost.

I specialize in servicing and refurbishing Oracle, Ortofon, Thorens, SME and Rega turntables, and also offers custom termination services for a variety of cables and interconnects.
I've also got a bunch of high-end power and interconnect cables which I will be putting up for sale very soon, as I'm cleaning out my unused cable bin, including Crystal Cable, Exemplar Audio and Empirical Design.
