“I couldn't resist: "So Michael [Trei]—if you had to pick one of these two turntables to be your one and only, which would it be?" Always a pest.

He didn't hesitate: "No question—the AMG!"

Both 'tables [The other table is a Palmer, I've heard them and they're also nice – audiogon seller] are more exciting and descriptive than my Linn LP12 or Thorens TD 124. I could live happily with either. But the AMG seems to have it all going on: exquisite style, superb build quality, ease of setup, ease of use, and the ability to steer cartridges and play records with the world's finest record players."

—Herb Reichert, STEREOPHILE (Class A Component – AMG Giro 9)

The AMG arm arrived in June, and with the opportunity to hold it in my hands, I was no longer merely impressed: I was stunned. Our hobby has been blessed with some beautifully made tonearms, including the Aro and Ekos, as well as the Mission Mechanic, the Zeta, Sumiko's The Arm, and various iterations of the Ikeda. None surpasses the 9W2 in sheer build quality. The German arm's surprisingly small yet chunky bearing assembly, in particular, is so precisely made—and so obviously free from both friction and unwanted play—that it could impress even those who are indifferent to phonography.

—Art Dudley, STEREOPHILE (Class A Component – AMG 9W2 tonearm)

"Simply put, the AMG Giro is the best turntable I know of for less than $14,000"

– Jack Roberts, Dagogo

Purchased a year ago, up for sale is my one-owner AMG Giro with 9W2 Tonearm! Conservatively rated 8/10 for very light surface scuffs on the platter from normal use; this unit is less than two years and old and in excellent cosmetic and operational condition.

Purchased from an authorized dealer a year ago and set up by Michael Trei himself, this is a true expression of the finest of the high-end. Sale includes a Cardas Clear Cygnus DIN>RCA phono cable (1m, retail: $340).

The turntable, tonearm, and all original accessories will ship in their original box (and wooden tonearm box) of course. Selling as I live in a small Manhattan apartment and am running out of space for vinyl, so someone else should enjoy this Bavarian dream machine!

The Hana ML pictured is not included. TT power supply is usable almost anywhere in the world. US Service is wonderfully convenient as it is handled with expert care, personal attention, and cost-efficient professionalism by best-in-industry Musical Surroundings in Oakland, California (US distributor  and customer care agent for AMG, HANA, DS Audio, Benz Micro, and just an all around amazing company).

Built like a rock, working flawlessly, and having a tonearm that probably will never require adjustment, hence only because this turntable will definitely be an heirloom component, their care is a big motivator for me and I cannot speak highly enough about the team at Musical Surroundings.

I am always available to answer any inquiries and have a trusted, established presence on Audiogon.
