Here we have a
great set of the rare VTL Wotan 1250 monoblock tube amplifiers. I obtained them
from an estate sale where I knew the gentleman who passed. I spent many hours
with him in front of these amazing amps and the JM Labs Utopia speakers
listening primarily through a Jadis JP80MC preamp to lots of vinyl.
Unfortunately, before the amps could really run in and continue to provide
pleasure the owner passed and they went into storage for some years before I
got them a few months ago.

I have tested the
amps with music and speakers for several hours after a slow warm up, and they
play well and seem to have no issues, no funny smells, no tube arcing, etc. I
have not had a technician go completely through them, as they are just too huge
and heavy for me to haul around, never mind that I do not have a vehicle
capable to take them to a shop. That said, they do seem to be working just fine,
though a re-biasing is advisable. All output tubes are not high-mileage ones
but we all know that tubes can act up sometimes. But anyone seriously looking
to buy these amps will be familiar with all of this detailed stuff. I will make
no other claim or guarantee, as I am not a tech or tube amp specialist. I will
get a user manual from VTL based on the serial numbers of the amps, so that
will be a good addition.

The amps
originally listed for $32,000.00/pr, and I am putting them up for $7000/pair.
I will entertain serious offers; please do not try to low-ball me or your offer
will be rejected. They will ship in the original crates on pallets; there is no
other option, save for a local pick up in Glendale, CA, something I strongly
encourage if you are in the area! Wow these are heavy. Final shipping price
will not be know until the sale is made as the trucking costs will vary, but
expect the freight cost to be at least $500-700 depending on where they are
going.

I accept PayPal
and cash or a bank transfer. No credit cards. PayPal users please add 3% or I
will not accept the sale. If truly needed, these amps can go overseas, but the
problem with the 115V needed is the buyer’s sole problem, as I do not have the
ability to change transformers.
