Sony PS-X800 MINT ORIGINAL CONDITION

Very, very rarely for sale is this ALL-ORIGINAL MINT CONDITION Sony PS-X800 Linear Tracking Turntable with Biotracer Servo Control. I am the original owner. I bought this beautiful work of art in 1982 and used it for about 2 years. I have safely stored it since about 1984. I just unboxed it and it still works perfectly. It is in MINT-MINT condition. A tab socket on the dust cover is broken, but the dust cover still works fine. The unique servo controlled linear tracking tonearm is designed to duplicate the movement of the head which cuts the record master. Compared with a pivoted arm, a linear tracking arm has a very small tracking error which means greatly reduced harmonic distortion, improved tracking ability and channel separation. I have the original shipping box and all accessories. I will NOT ship. This turntable must be picked up. I can also deliver within a reasonable distance. This was Sony's best turntable. The technology was years ahead of its time. This is a collector's turntable. Perform your research and due diligence. Obviously, you may inspect this turntable at the time of purchase.
