If you haven't heard of these, they are quite rare and amazing 845 SET monoblocks.  Reinhard Thöress, the designer and builder, is a super guy and builds a phenomenal product.  He has corresponded with me a number of times concerning my interests in these amplifiers and questions I had about his other products.  Please check out his website and other reviews you can find.  These are beautiful sounding amps and are dead quiet even on my 101 db speakers.  These will easily drive more difficult loads and less efficient speakers as well.

From Reinhard's own words from his site, these 845 monos are "equipped with the highly regarded 845 power triode and is capable of delivering up to 20 watts of power into a 4, 8 or 16 ohm load. The zero-feedback circuit incorporates an extraordinary single-stage driver topology employing two EL803S power pentodes operated in triode mode. The driver stage is so powerful that it could (theoretically) drive a loudspeaker with ultra-low distortion on its own. The amplifier is entirely hard-wired, while every detail of the internal construction has been given careful attention to ensure reliability and ease of service.  The sound of our 'flagship' is of utmost refinement and will easily measure up to the expectations of even the most critical and experienced music enthusiast."

I will include an 845a/b variant in great working order with the purchase price.  I also have a set of Elrog 845s with about 100 hours on them that I will include for an extra $1000 (half of new) or a set of PSVane WE 845s (top 10% spec'd) with about 30 hours on them that I will include for $400 (half of new) with the amp purchase.  I liked the Elrogs in these amps the best, but the PSVane WEs were awesome as well--with a little more mellow and "old school" sound perhaps?  These are a matter of preference.  The amps sound phenomenal with any 845 however, and you can definitely tune to your tastes with your selection of brands/styles of 845s.

Here's the fine print:

I'm listing these as LOCAL PICKUP ONLY IN COLUMBUS OHIO. With the right buyer I will consider driving them up to two hours away from me, which will get them to most parts of Ohio if you want to make the other part of the drive from where you are.

Why will I not ship? I have a couple of close audio friends and we buy A LOT of equipment between the 3 of us, in 3 different parts of the country. FedEx, USPS, and UPS ALL have developed terrible habits and resulting damage (or lost) records for the 3 of us these days, especially with heavy, expensive and fragile tube and vinyl equipment. We have had a TON of issues that are frankly not acceptable, and I simply refuse to take the risk for the sake of me, you, and the equipment...sorry, I know that makes it painful to you if you're not close or out of the country.  If you are willing to accept ALL the risk, and I mean ALL the risk, I will be willing to let you work out packing and shipping at a local FedEx store--I will get their signature that I dropped them off, and the rest will be 110% up to you. No exceptions on that.  You will pay ALL packing, shipping, any relevant packing materials, and insurance costs.  Sorry, these are two valuable for me to take any risk on shipping.

I'm conservatively rating these as a 7, but I suspect when you get them you will easily think they are at least an 8 and sound like a 10. I don't know the age as these have been produced for a little while, but they are the current model, although they are all green as opposed to some that have white faces.

I was told I am the second owner...Reinhard believes my pair was bought at a show in the US after they were used by the dealer for the show.  I do not have the original boxes I don't think.  We have moved, and I will look for the boxes they shipped in and include them if I can find them, but please assume I don't have boxes for them.

Buyer pays 3% for paypal.

Don't miss your chance to steal these at less than half the price of new (probably way less than half). Contact me with any questions. If you are close, I will hook them up for you and you can hear them. Or I will send you a video if you are not close.

Thanks for your consideration.
