71a C3m Single Ended SET tube amp by Radu Tarta with Tamradio transformers and blue Arcturus globes

For sale is an extremely unusual single ended 71a tube amplifier by
builder Radu Tarta. I commissioned this amplifier from Radu last
September and have been enjoying it since then.

At .75 watts per channel this represents the outer fringes of the flea watt, low power
single ended world. The 71a is low power but is a superb sounding tube,
and this amplifier is a no-holds-barred build with top shelf components
including C3m driver tubes, vintage Tamura Tamradio output and power
transformers, Rod Coleman filament supplies, clarity caps, TKD volume
control, NOS James Millen tube sockets, panel meters and the list goes
on.

I am including a rare set of very fine Arcturus blue glass 71a
globe tubes as well as a nearly new in box pair of Hytron ST 71a tubes.
This amp deserves the best tubes it can get and I feel these are the
best.

Suffice to say that of the 30+ tube amplifiers Ive owned over the years, this
is unquestionably at the very tip top of the fidelity ladder. It is true
that you will need efficient speakers to fully enjoy this amplifier,
but if you have 96 db/wm or more it will be satisfying. My speakers are
95-96 db/wm and I and those who have heard it have found the amplifier
to be well suited to them in a small to mid-sized dedicated listening
room using only the onboard volume control.

This is a very special amplifier and you wont see the like of it again anytime soon.

This ships in 3 boxes, one for each of the amp blocks and one for the tubes. I'm charging a flat rate of $100 in the US. If the actual shipping is less I will refund the difference.
