I am selling my Rotel receiver because I have just upgraded equipment and can't justify keeping this around just to collect dust. Was using this to power some Totem speakers, which I am also selling on this site. This amp has plenty of power and sounds very warm and dynamic. Asking $200/OBO, I do not have original box/packaging but will work with UPS/FedEX, etc. to pack securely to ship.
From Rotels website:
An intrinsic part of Rotel’s exciting new 10 Series, this receiver conclusively proves that “stereo” is very much a part of today’s world where both music and home theater provide enriching entertainment for the entire family.
In fact, RS-232 communications capability, 12 volt “trigger” outputs, and an array of IR (infrared) remote control inputs and outputs combine to make the RX-1050 an ideal choice for either a sophisticated “whole house” multi-source, multi-zone home entertainment system or a dedicated single-room system. The front panel – simple, inviting, and elegant – tells you it will satisfy the most demanding connoisseur or the novice user.
Power output is a substantial 100 watts per channel. But there are important differences between this rating and ones you may see from other manufacturers. Drawing on the knowledge gained from satisfying even the most demanding audiophiles with affordable products, Rotel builds the RX-1050 with a rock-solid power supply that includes an oversized toroidal transformer and twin high quality storage capacitors. Eight discrete, high current output transistors ensure uncompromising reproduction of the most difficult sources, even when the RX-1050 is used with inefficient speakers in large rooms.
The RX-1050’s seven inputs include a high quality moving magnet phono preamp that breathes new life into older but still-treasured record collections. A full array of four composite video inputs and three outputs (including monitor) with switching means you don’t have to give up video capability to enjoy stereo’s straight-forward pleasures.
Additional convenience features include a pre-programmed remote control, detachable IEC-type power cord, two switched convenience outlets, pre-out/main-in jacks, zone 2 output, A/B speaker selector, and a front panel headphone jack.
