The Benchmark DAC1 HDR is a professional audio reference-quality DAC/Preamp with remote control, analog input, and variable output. It also has a one of the best sounding headphone amps anywhere. The remote controls volume, input, dim and mute. Very well reviewed in both audiophile and pro audio publications. Benchmark is offering the same, "factory refurbished," for $1150 which gives a reference of the current value.
