Audio Research SP-10 PREAMP MINT CONDITION!

I have for sale an Audio Research SP-10 mk2 preamp. There is plenty of information on the internet regarding this famous preamp so I won't go into much detail. Basically, it's one of the finest preamps Audio Research ever made and one of the best preamps ever ! It is very famous also for its phenomenal phono section not to mention one of the best line stages. The layout is a dual mono design and it's also designed to accept moving coil cartridges direct without the use of step up transformers .  The preamp also has a bypass switch dedicated to the phono circuit where it bypasses all other circuits and feeds the phono section directly. 
It's an all tube unit in both the power supply and audio sections. The unit is all original with no modifications, but many upgraded parts! This Audio Research SP-10 mk2 is a classic tube preamp much like the Marantz 7 or Mcintosh C-22 (only much better sounding) and it will retain its value and increase over time. 

all the Electrolytic filter capacitors were replaced within the past month along with Dale,Kiwame and .1% Vishay foil resistors (the best in the world), in key areas within the line and phono stages. All Audio Research SP-10 preamps at this stage should have these filter caps replaced as they typically have a 20-25 year life span.  
In addition this Gem has the Mundorf Oil, Teflon and Polystyrene bypass capacitor upgrades!  All the controls  were lubed and cleaned. The tubes are BRAND NEW (Golden Lion and EH) with less than 15 hours of use and will provide many years of use before a re-tube.  Lastly, the umbilical power cord is brand new from Audio Research and all the tube sockets in the phono section were upgraded to Ceramic along with all regulators and Zener diodes which were upgraded to Mil- Spec units! The service was performed by Avatar Engineering ($1100). This is a  late model of this preamp...it's an original mk2 version and the best way to tell is by looking at the eight 6dj8 tubes in the audio section, mk2 units will have two 4 inch long litz wires running from the third set of tubes back towards the back of the chassis.

Cosmetically it's in Pristine condition!  Sonically better than New!
The preamp was never rack mounted. Everything works perfectly and the unit sounds Sublime, as good or better than our Audio Research Reference 6 Preamp and Reference phono preamp. The preamps entire life has been in a non-smoking, no pet household. A True legend, and collectable heirloom! Discounts for cash and local pick-up.
