"The Kappa 6 was ideal for most, and bested the previous RS 5B and the
older RSB. This had a ten inch woofer, a much better mass for crossing
to the polydome."
I've just finished a complete rebuild of these classics including:
New midrange drivers (see details below)
Recapped the crossovers
De-oxidized the potentiometers
Cabinets have been treated with restorer and oiled
The midrange grills pictured are my own invention (since I have a cat now), and will be included but removed for shipping
The original polydomes were not salvageable as they were missing their voice coils when I got the speakers. I chose to go with the silk-dome drivers from Midwestern Speaker Repair and am very happy with the results.
The speaker stands in the photos will be included as a bonus if the speakers are picked up, but will not be shipped.
