Audio Research Reference 5

Excellent condition and very clean REF 5. Rated 8/10 conservatively but more like 9/10 condition inside and out. I owned both the REF 5 and the SE version simultaneously and decided that while there were trade offs, I preferred the regular REF 5's slightly friendlier presentation. This was especially true with the tube compliment and fuse upgrade I used and am including here. I really love this preamp and the only reason I am selling is because I bought a REF 40.
Included is a NOS Sylvania 6550 that measures as new and sounds way better than the factory supplied 6550. I will also include a brand new SED 6550 Black Sable Cryo treated tube as well for comparison and backup. Also included is a 6H30p-DR NOS Russian Military tube for the power supply that not only sounds better than stock, but lasts much longer. These "DR" tubes sell for $200 and up each. This one also measures as new.
In addition I am including the Synergistic Research Quantum Blue Fuse that is a significant sonic upgrade from the stock fuse.
