No idea how to price this so rolling the dice with an auction. For all I know I am giving it away.
cartridge is about 15 years old and I have absolutely no idea how many hours are on it. At times I listened to it all day and then it might sit for a few years unused like when I built a new 4K home theater.
I don't have the magnification to really evaluate it, It works and sounds good to my ear but I wanted to get a new phono stage from ChannelD that is trans-impedance and use Pure Vinyl software, and he says a Benz is not a good match. So not really knowing the condition of this cartridge I decided to buy a new one.
This was the WB top of the line in the day and cost many $1000's. I'm pretty sure it is built around a Benz motor, and it seems like it was a Ruby, but do not hold me to that. It has served me well but time to move on. I suppose I should get it re-tipped and keep it but don't see having 2 high end cartridges. Have the original metal canister it came in. .
see my extensive + feedback going back almost 20 years and bid with confidence.
