Luxman L-509X

Excellent condition Luxman L-509X, works, looks, and sounds like a million bucks. I am the 2nd owner, purchased from dealer who sold original unit then took back on consignment for client who upgraded to separates just weeks after purchase. 

This integrated solid state amp sounds like magic. There's no other way to describe the visceral dynamics, detail, and rhythm of the L-509X. There is an airy sweetness to the top end that can't be described unless you hear one of these for yourself. The bass control and micro dynamics are stunning - this integrated has brought me to tears on more than one occasion. 

The versatility of this amp is unmatched. With the "Separate" function, both the preamp and amplifiers can be separated to use outboard preamps or home theater processor. The "Line Straight" function bypasses the tone controls on the integrated for a more "audiophile" or balanced output. The "Loudness" function is perfect for low level/night listening to compensate for the Fletcher Munson Curve. A high quality phono amp is included on the unit with settings for MM/MC cartridges. 
   
COSMETICS: There is a slight nick on the aluminum remote, barely visible and highlighted in the photo of the remote. There is a very tiny scratch in the top right of the unit. I have added a photo with a penny for scale.

All input caps are intact and included, manual and original box and packaging are included. 

VALUE: The Luxman L-509X is an unparalleled value at its regular retail price of $9,945, besting many separates costing several times as much - the preamp alone is based off of trickle-down tech from Luxman's flagship C-900u, at a price of $15,000. This integrated has never sold on Audiogon below $6,000 and pricing is firm. 

One of the world's premiere integrated solid state amplifiers. I am selling because I moved to tube separates, otherwise would have kept this unit forever.

discretely configured buffer circuit in the output stage of the
