I've owned this Preamp about 5 years and there's not a mark on it, just like the day I got it. 8 rating is only for age. This Preamp looks and sounds excellent. Hey, I don't know why the knob has turned bronze (it was black when I got it) the Wyred folks said send it in and they'd fix it, never got around to it. Yes, the knob is faded bronze, the knob turns perfectly fine, It turns on and off perfectly fine, it adjusts the volume perfectly fine and yes for some reason it has faded bronze, nothing else faded. Comes with generic power cord, original box, manual (though it's exactly the same as the online version) and the remote.
