Legendary tonality and grain free with an almost tube like quality. Drives low impedances and is bridgeable. Was just cleaned and serviced. Replaces stereo mono switch, 2 app amps, and the caps. There are 2 close up pictures of 2 scratches. According to the 10.5 Data Sheet, it is Biased up to 25 Watts Class A, then slides to Class AB up to 100 Watts @ 8 Ohms. The Amp has a 1KVA Toroidal Transformer with 120,000 uF of Capacitance. It produces better than 80 Amps Peak Current per channel. In Bridged Mode it produces 400 Watts @ 8 Ohms.
Questions for the seller |

I can't find the manual online, so would you know if this is switchable to 220v or does it need to be sent into Coda for new board? Much thanks! It is switchable to 220 v. It would idle drawing half the current in 220 v. |
Hello, question who did the re bias? Was this serviced at Coda? Was the amp re-capped? I'm interested but concerned as the amp should run rather cool not hot like you described. Thank you! It has not been rebiased. The earlier ones were almost pure A then later models turned down the bias to get more wattage out of them.
This unit was just serviced a month ago to replace the Mono Stereo switch, All the electrolytic caps, left and right Op amps and left and right resisters in the pre-amp stage. Repair was $363. I am selling this for the owner because he decided to upgrade to a 500 watt Electrocompinet. |
"Pure Class A", or classA/AB? It is biassed heavy into class A. I don't know if it is up to 20 watts class A or all the way. It does run very hot like an old Bedini or Rappaport amp. You can't hold your hand on the heat sinks more than 10 seconds.
It sound very rich and smooth. |
was this sent to coda for the work done?
thanks! No the work was done by the sound room in St. Louis. Mike, the technician that worked on it has been repairing High-End for about three years and is authorized to repair under warranty Classe, Rotel, Mark Levinson, Parasound, Wadia in the day, CJ, AR, and several others but they’ve also worked on exotics for me like Futterman, Berning, and Forsell. |
