NightOwl Carbon The closed-back NightOwl Carbon further advances the state of the headphone art, replacing NightHawk’s sound-diffusing grille with an intelligently designed aperiodic damping system for excellent isolation of external noise. 
Closed-Back Design Hidden beneath the central circular portion of NightOwl’s earcups, a vent runs along the perimeter of each dome and exits through a hidden airflow-resistive port. All-Natural Liquid Wood NightOwl’s earcups are made from a revolutionary material called “Liquid Wood”—actual wood that has been combined with reclaimed plant fiber, heated, liquefied, and processed in such a way that it can be injection molded. While injection molding is commonly accomplished with environmentally hazardous plastics or synthetic polymers, Liquid Wood is a natural material—as sustainable as it is physically beautiful. Moreover, compared to ordinary plastic or wood, Liquid Wood has far superior acoustic properties and provides a seemingly endless array of geometric possibilities. In our headphones, we’ve used Liquid Wood to shape our earcups to more closely resemble the human ear, thereby providing a more complete and comfortable fit, reducing stress on the listener’s head and ears.
Sustainable Engineering To the very extent that it is possible and practical, we avoid the use of plastics in designing and manufacturing our headphones. Whereas the production and disposal of plastic is known to present environmental hazards, the production of Liquid Wood (as used in our earcups), biocellulose (as used in our drivers), and 3D-printed grilles (as used in NightHawk and NightHawk Carbon), has minimal impact on the ecosystem. The same holds true for Protein Leather—a bio-derived synthetic fabric that we’ve used to encase our soft, comfortable earpads. Developed by combining a specialty resin with protein powder derived from eggshells, Protein Leather is durable, pliable, and has a softness and surface asperity approximating that of human skin, making it particularly well suited to its application in NightOwl.

SILVER DRAGON SOUND SIGNATURE The Silver Dragon is the original cable. Silver strands clarify instrument separation, increase soundstage, and find previously lost high and mid-frequency sounds. Transients appear more cohesive and the bass tighter for a more controlled sound. The detail and clarity of the Silver Dragon make it a perfect match for classical music and other genres with many nuanced instruments.
QUALITY YOU CAN TRUST Most stock headphone cables are made of poor, ultra-thin conductors that work as a bottleneck for sound. CABLE DESIGN This is a silver conductor-based cable and it uses 4 x 99.99998% UP-OCC Stranded Silver 24AWG Teflon insulated stranded conductors. The Silver Dragon V3 uses 4 x 99.99998% UP-OCC Stranded Silver 24AWG Teflon insulated stranded conductors. We have stepped up the purity to the purest available by today's technology with this version 3.
We have improved the conductor’s properties over the previous Version 2 cable as these conductors are free from impurities and have virtually no crystal boundaries. The conductors have almost no distortion compared to ordinary silver conductors.
Each conductor is made up of a special varying sized stranded geometry. The silver stranding's are mixed with Kevlar stranding's to reinforce the conductor. Making it stronger overall and less prone to failure due to the harsh constant flexing that headphone cable experience.
Each conductor is encapsulated in a Teflon casing. The conductors are then surrounded by cotton and a thin layer of Aluminum Foil. It is then protected by a 100% coverage silver plated copper secondary shield and placed in a polyethylene jacket for further protection.
