I am selling a Jim Hagerman (aka Haglab or Hagerman Technology) FryKleaner custom-built in a Hammond extruded aluminum enclosure. The FryKleaner is a cable and audio system burn-in signal generator that has received great critical acclaim. To quote from the manual, “Designed to provide a maximum break-in using a minimal amount of time, the FryKleaner signal is a unique combination of broadband noise and low frequency modulation. Three output levels tailor the amplitude to suit your needs and built-in power amplifiers provide enough current to drive cables into direct shorts.”

I built this unit some time ago using many high quality (in some cases boutique) parts, including gold-plated RCA connectors, NKK switches, Vishay 1% grade resistors and Nichicon and Panasonic capacitors. This FryKleaner works perfectly and is remarkable; I’ve used it on both of my stereos and have periodically loaned it out for audiophile friends to use, and everyone who has used it has been pleased with the results. See my review of the FryKleaner at Audio Asylum (click on “Product Reviews,” then “Accessory,” then “Hagerman Technology,” then “SRMcGee” under “FryKleaner”). A 12 VDC wall wart power supply and the FryKleaner manual are also included.

The FryKleaner’s loudest gain setting should be used to burn in interconnects and components, excluding phono preamplifiers. The middle gain setting is for Moving Magnet phono preamps and the lowest gain setting is for Moving Coil phono preamps. I am also including Jim Hagerman’s inverse RIAA Filter circuit board in this auction; the iRIAA Filter is needed to run the FryKleaner’s signal through phono preamplifiers. The iRIAA Filter board is housed in a slim Hammond extruded aluminum enclosure similar to the FryKleaner and was also built using many premium resistors and gold RCA connectors. When burning in a phono preamplifier, connect the FryKleaner’s outputs to the inputs on the iRIAA Filter and the appropriate iRIAA Filter outputs to your phono preamp.
