The box weighs: 6 lbs

It is shipping from 02130 (Boston, MA)

RCA to XLR Adapter Pair to use the DAC single ended (RCA to amp or vol control) $150 cost. These RCA adapters for the DAC DAC are custom made because the off-the-shelf ones short the negative side and cause distortion. They are definitely required and worth the cost if you want to use this DAC with a single-ended (RCA) system.

Total Cost of Items Included In This Sale = $990 + $390 + $90 + $150 = $1,620

I’m asking $699 for the 4 items listed above and I’ll pay the Agon Fee, PayPal Fee, and Actual UPS Ground Shipping Cost. You pay $699. That’s a substantial price reduction for a system with less than 1 hours use on it.

——-

I’m a dealer and OEM and have owned over 40 DACs in the last 3 to 5 years. I purchased the Cherry Hanging Maraschino amp pair and was impressed with the sound quality. I then couldn’t resist and had to purchase the Cherry DAC system that was closest to my favorite DAC sound quality (the Metrum Pavane Level 4 DAC). This is the DAC DAC 1 TL that I’m selling in this ad. This Cherry DAC is excellent. However, the Pavane is still my favorite and is the reason I’m selling this almost new system. I’m back to listening to my Pavane and love it.

The Pavane has more air but the Cherry is close in sound quality. It’s a great choice for someone looking to spend minimal money (due to my big markdown) and to receive a high quality digital sound DAC system. I cannot imagine a lower cost and higher quality DAC system anywhere at this price.

With the included adapters, you can operate the DAC either balanced (XLR connections on the back) or single-ended (RCA connectors on the ends of the adapter pair). I’ve tried both and either sounds superb with reasonable cable lengths (I used a 1 meter USB cable to the converter). The SPDIF cable that I’m including is all that you need to connect the converter to the DAC. The cable is short and the two units fit stacked one on the other.

I’ve found that USB direct to any of my DACs doesn’t sound as good as AES/EBU or SPDIF. You definitely will benefit from using the included Cherry USB to SPDIF converter to convert your USB signal before it goes into the DAC. I no longer use USB direct to any of my DACs and wouldn’t recommend USB to the Cherry DAC even if it had a USB connector on the rear panel.

Let me know if you have any questions. This entire system is beautifully packaged in the original Cherry shipping container loaded with protective padding and is ready to ship. I’ll ship via UPS ground the same business day (or next if too late for pickup) I receive payment via PayPal.

Thanks for checking out my ad,

Richard
