Triode Corporation of Japan TRV-DAC1.0SE--Price just lowered!

For Sale is a Triode of Japan TRV-DAC1.0SE Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) with Headphone Output and 24-bit/196-k capable, switchable upsampling, and choice of either a Tube or Solid State Output.

The base price was $2,499.00, but mine has a $200 Capacitor Upgrade done by the U.S. Importer of Triode Corporation of Japan so increased the price to $2,699.00. In addition, I will be including (2) NOS Philips Vacuum Tubes that cost an additional $200.00 for the pair because the were true NOS and in mint condition when I bought them from the Tube Store. See enclosed photos of both the Vacuum Tubes and Capacitor Upgrade. I listened carefully to this Unit before and after the Capacitor Upgrade and there was a significant improvement on the order of 20% or more. There was an additional substantial improvement across the board (i.e. there was no contest) when I compared the Stock Tubes to the NOS Tubes being included. Additional Features: Separate Volume Control for use with headphones, but line level is fixed.

My Unit, as far as I can tell on close inspection, is flawless and has very minimal hours of use on it as it was used in a Second System and I barely had any time to listen to my First System. It would be equivalent to a total of 4-months use or less. I am the First Owner.

I have not sold in some time, but in the past, I have sold at least 39 Items on Audiogon and had a perfect (100%) satisfaction Record. I am an M.D. by background and most people know we take very good care of our possessions, especially audio equipment.

Will include Original Box and Packaging, Remote, Power Cord, USB Cable, and CD with Windows Drivers (Apple/Mac does not require these Drivers).

Reason for selling? I am embarking on a Master's Degree and am liquidating most of my stereo gear to assist with funding it.

Asking Price is $1,295.00, which will include PayPal Fees and shipping within the Continental U.S. Given what is included in this price (upgrades and including shipping costs), only reasonable offers will be considered.

While I couldn’t find any Formal Reviews done in the U.S., I have attended every Winter CES and Rocky Mountain Audio Shows for many years and heard this in the Triode Corporation Room of Japan and this was their Source for a number of years and I felt they consistently got great sound in their room and demonstrations. That was the reason I bought it.
