Aragon 8008 BB

This is a late-90s model fully balanced power amplifier biased heavily into Class A. Original retail $2499-2995. 200W into 8 Ohms, 400 into 4. Power supply has 1,100-volt toroidal transformer for EACH channel!
Dan d'Agostino apparently designed the smaller 4004, though I don't know if he did this model. This basic design is still in production, though with clear modifications over the years.
Due to Class-A biasing, it puts off a fair amount of heat. Sounds both warm and clean, great soundstage. As you turn it up, the sound just gets bigger and bigger. Ideal for medium-to-large rooms, though it was fine in my 11 x 16 space, and great for average-to-low efficiency speakers. I've moved to a lower-power amp/ subwoofer combo.
Unit is clean except for four small nicks on the top of the faceplate.
Power amplifiers require a preamplifier to take the audio signal. This amp provides the power to drive the speakers. It can be driven by XLR cables or RCA, though you will get the greatest benefit with a balanced preamplifier (with XLR connections).
I am the 2nd owner, and do not have original box, so I prefer local pickup, but will pack professionally to ship. Comes with power cord and pdf of manual.
