AnalogAesthetic Turntable platform

Thanks for stopping by to look today. This is another piece to enhance the look of your listening area. I believe this design also improves the sound. I build furniture and accessories one at a time in my own shop. Any design you see can be built in a different wood-per your request. Unfortunately, the cost of furniture grade hardwoods has gotten so expensive, it’s difficult to build pieces to “stock” for later sale.
This is a two piece turntable platform. The base is 2.75 inches high of African Padauk with Maple splines. The top portion is Bamboo 1 and 1/8 inches thick. Total weight is 23 pounds. As you can see from the photos, the feet are inset into the bottom of the bamboo, with the pads inset into the Padauk base. In testing this, I placed the base on anti-vibe pads from SupplyHouse.com Of course you could use other products under the base. In a listening test with my audio friends, it was unanimously agreed to provide a more quiet listen with clearer high end. I use a Scout Jr. and an Ortofon Blue cartridge. Those not included in sale.
