Rating 7/10 only due to age. Cosmetically, it's in very nice condition. Sonically wonderful, integrates smoothly as it reads signal off of your amplifier plus has other manual adjustments. Really helps the lowest frequencies in my system, which was matched with Vandersteen 2CE's. Surprisingly powerful when called upon, but subtle otherwise. Make sure that your amplifier can handle this type of subwoofer. Similar to how the REL B-1 works, which is what I upgraded to, although I found the 2Wq comparable.

| The picture of the top shows what appears to be several scratches. Are these actual scratches, and if so, are they repairable, or too deep? Thank you. Last I checked it was pretty good looking on top. If you can wait until Sunday, I'll look at it again and take a fresh picture; close up. |
| Is the crossover unit included? I only have the one that I bought directly from Vandersteen, which is the X-2 set at 200K to match my amplifier. You'd have to contact Vandersteen if this would work with your amp. Hope that helps. |
| How old is this sub? I'm not sure of the age. The serial # is 1465. I did call Vandersteen to see if they could tell me the age with this serial #, but they said they don't keep records. I would assume this is one of the earlier models that came after the 2W. Hope that helps. |
