The condition is likely overall better than a 7/10 but there are some issues on the original face plate see pictures...
THIS IS one of Marantz's Flagship Quad
receivers but KNOWN as one of their very best sounding and desirable legendary collectable STEREO Receivers.
This 4400 has been fully checked out and adjusted.
Most if not all 4400s listed for sale have issues
that are not mentioned in the listing but this one is a very good opportunity and value.
Serial # 5043. This receiver is really nice on the inside. Not shiny new but really clean with no corrosion issues were are aware of.
Fantastic clean sound out of all four channels.

I am a well known in a highly regarded Los Angeles Audio dealer.
I believe this piece is selling today for $650 and maybe already too late.
My service center that I have been using for 35 years had this as a customer repair that was not picked up and sat for over two years after being restored I don’t have the particulars for what I can tell you is a lot was invested in the service repair was somewhere around $525 for just the service I believe this piece is selling today for $650 and may be already too late.

I do not have the particulars on what was done to the unit and it is priced right and probably will sell later today. Unfortunately and rarely I cannot answer your question because I don’t know.
My understanding is it stock and shy of the face plate one of the best examples you’ll find but believe it sold either way if interested further it’s better you call me.
