I am selling my beloved DG-38 equalizer. Like any Accuphase product, it is built like a tank. The DG-38 is SACD capable, unlike the DG-28. Sonically, it does wonders in correcting room distortions (most important part of your system). Instantly improved the sound in my system amazingly, and you can easily tell by using the bypass on the unit's remote. Best part, you can either let the unit make all measurements and corrections by itself, or if you are inclined to tweak, you can play with it and change the output to your liking by adjusting lows' mids or highs. You can even draw your own correction curve with the stylus! Reason for sale: now with home theater and using a processor with Dirac correction, so in spite of the unit's flexibility, it is now redundant.
This particular one is equipped with the highly desirable analog in-out optional module, as shown in photos. So I could connect my phono section to it as well. That allows to fully use any DAC as preamp, without losing option for analog input. The DG-38 can also alternatively be used as a DAC, by using its balanced analogs out into any preamp.
In very nice condition and well maintained. The only mark I noticed is 2 hairlines, most likely by inserting in rack, hardly visible except very close, please see photo. Unit is 120V (made for US) and comes with all accessories including manual, microphone, cable and remote. Price when new is approximate. Will be double boxed for safe shipping. Look to photos, and do not hesitate to ask any questions.
Please bid with confidence from a long time A'goner with perfect feedback.
Questions for the seller |
---|
Hello, it looks like someone took a magic marker and colored over the voltage specs on the back of the unit. What is up with that?? Was it ever converted to any other voltage? Accuphase refuses to service anything that wasn’t purchased new in North America. Thanks for your time and response! Thanks for your inquiry. Sorry, I can tell there has been no tampering with the voltage. The unit was bought from a dealer as a demo. Plz feel free to check the serial number for total confirmation. |
