Custom Design Tube Preamp Modeled after the CJ PV5

Hello. This is a dual mono preamp board that is modeled (not cloned) after the famous Conrad Johnson PV-5 circuit design. It uses four 12AX7 tubes. I used very good Hammond power transformers (4), upgraded all 6 coupling capacitors with Rel-Cap high end caps and it’s all wrapped in a gold anodized aluminum chassis that measures 12” wide by 8” deep by 5” tall. I really like the way this sounds. Very open and detailed highs with beautiful and coherent midrange. Bass is full, deep and tight.  As good as any $2000+ tube preamp today (IMO). Plus, it looks really cool! I’m including a low noise, matched quad of the Electro-Harmonix 12AX7 tubes which sound great in this circuit, and a power cord.  

For me, it’s all about the fun of building audio. I don’t have a use for it at the moment so I’m selling to build something else. I am open to offers. Let me know if you have any questions.
