Quad 22L2 speakers. From the highly respected British speaker & electronics company. My Quad speakers are mint (complete with boxes, packing material, and manual). They were purchased new in February 2012 for $1900. They are Model # 22L2, Serial # 00684, natural cherry with piano gloss finish (not a scratch). They sound as good as they look. These are full-range, high-efficiency speakers. You will not be disappointed.

| Do you know what the cone material is made of, looks like kevelar? Yes, the primary drivers are made from Kevlar. All high quality components in furniture-grade cabinets with piano gloss finish. From a review, "The speaker is a two-and-a-half-way design, with the lower of the two 165mm main drivers only used through the bass region (alongside the port, to reinforce the bottom end) and the upper main driver and tweeter operating as a regular two-way.
Both the main drivers have cast frames, 115mm woven Kevlar matrix cones and quite stiff rubber surrounds, though the lower bass driver has a different dust-cover arrangement and presumably the four-layer voice coil and extra mass loading used in the 22L.
The all-new tweeter has a 25mm fabric dome and powerful neodymium magnets, and its faceplate is partly cut away, enabling it to be positioned closer to the bass/mid unit." Thanks for your interest! |
