Consonance Reference 2.2 Compact CD Player

Item up for sale today is a Opra Audio Consonance Ref 2.2 CD Player. Bought this unit from Quest For Audio in PA some time ago. Retail price was $2000.00. In my opinion this is or was one of the best bang for your buck CD players on the market, trumping much more expensive CD players. The unit is a tube output - the tube installed is still as good as new and I have a new spare - Sovtek 6H3P1 - EB which retails for $30.00. Balanced or RCA outputs - switchable and a digital output. Unit is as new - no scratches, dings, etc. Comes with a manual and remote. This is a great unit for someone who is getting into high end audio and wants a reference type CD player for cheap. Someone brought it to my attention that the volume control may have been installed aftermarket or by the manufacturer. The volume control feature is on the rear of the unit, was their when I opened the box and is referenced in the manual. So I have no idea, but it work fine, I've always had it set at half way for my setup.
