Cary Audio CAD 805c Tube Amplifier Mono Block (2) 1 pair

This listing is for a well cared-for pair (2) of sequentially numbered matching Cary Audio CAD 805C vacuum tube amps in excellent condition. Serial numbers 200467 & 200468.

Currently installed are one China made Electron Tube 845B output tube, a Russian mfg 300B EH and Russian made Tung-Sol 6SL7 GT in each amp. Also included are an extra set of Electro-Harmonix 300B and another pair of the same 845B's. Also included are the power cords and a fresh laser copy of the owner's manual.

With its ornate knobs and gold-on-black finish, the beautifully crafted Cary Audio Design 805 looks like a '30s period piece. A delightful feature is the "tuning eye" on the front panel. The eye, which monitors the AC output voltage, closes completely at the 50W output level.

The 805's output transformer uses an E-I core with large air gaps between laminations. Output taps are provided for 4, 8, and 16 ohm loads.

The 805's power supply features a full-wave bridge rectifier using avalanche-protected diodes. The smoothing filter is a pi network using a series choke of air-gap design. Variable global feedback from 0-10dB (from the secondary of the output transformer back to the input stage) is offered via a pot and an impedance selector switch. The owner is thus given the chance to experiment with the amount of feedback—from none to moderate—within his or her own system.

shipped via Fed Ex. All international shipping quotes will include

buyer assumes FULL RESPONSIBILITY for the safe shipment of their

RETURNS:
Any item may be returned within 15 days for a full refund of the
purchase price, not including shipping, unless otherwise stated in the
ad. It must arrive back at our store in the same condition as sent. 15% restocking fee on new items that were opened.

International purchases need to be returned with incoming custom's

duty prepaid, if any. Any postage or import duty that is due upon
arrival will be deducted from the refund. 15% restocking fee also on all
