Anthem Statement D1 on current firmware (compatible with ARC) that also includes the physical ARC Kit. Cosmetically in very good condition. Functionally in excellent condition.
$500.00 + actual shipping. Shipping weight is substantial for a processor at over 34 pounds. I accept PayPal via Audiogon checkout. Shipping from Seattle (or local pickup from 98109).
I’ve upgraded to a Madrigal Proceed AVP-2 (by Mark Levinson) and I only need one pre/pro. The D1 is excellent, but it’s just not needed anymore.
The original Anthem remote is fully functional AND has been fully de-stickied. Yes. No sticky/tacky. Wife loves it. Also, the inside of the top cover has been covered by MuMetal (RF/EMI blocking metallic tape). I used to set my network streamer on top and this ensured less interference permeated the chassis.
This unit is confirmed ARC capable by the original owner. The Anthem/Sonic Frontiers ARC kit is included.
The D1 has a beefy, complete overkill dual Motorola DSP processor brain board. It’s barely taxed with DTS/ES, DD, our 96kHz/24bit PCM. It was designed to be software upgraded to future formats, but this step was forsaken by Anthem, unfortunately. Regardless, it’s really overbuilt in nearly every way. Excellent opamp chips drive the front channels (2134’s for L/R). Getting enough gain from your amp is simply not an issue.
Further, with additional assignable outputs, you can run dual subs, dual surrounds, dual centers, and several other configurations. Not just a “zone 2” thing, but it indeed does that too (with a fully separate power supply for Z2, to boot).
Lastly, a full compliment of chip/opamp heat sinks have been applied to the interior boards, along with a full cleaning and inspection of the boards. Also, the power supply main heat-sink has had MANY heat sinks added; more than 15x the surface area of the OEM slab aluminum “heat sink”. This thing will be stable and responsive at ANY reasonable ambient temperature. The chip sinks draw heat out of the circuit boards, increasing the life of nearby thermally sensitive components like small caps, resistors, etc.
DM with questions. All audio inputs and outputs of the unit have been fully tested.
