Highly collectable Sony TA-3200F - fully restored. If unfamiliar with the model, check the very informative page at The Vintage Knob. In a nutshell, in the late '60s, Sony was very ambitiously trying to break into the American market, and compete directly with McIntosh - and it shows in the build of this thing. It's an over 30lbs monster built to the highest standards at the time. A similarly built product of the time is the ST-5000FW tuner, which anyone in the know on tuners is aware is one of the best built tuners ever made, with ultimate shielding inside. I include a picture of this with my 5000FW, and one of the tuner's shielding.
Most all resistors were replaced with Vishay Dale CMF55/RN55 or higher rating, capacitors are all Nichicon HE, FW, Panasonic FM, etc. Adjusting pots with encapsulated Amphenol/Piher types. Even the large can capacitors have been replaced with identical in size, but brand new ones (an item regarded as too expensive to replace unless damaged - not deficient in performance due to age - by most restorers). Marginal semiconductors also replaced with current production iterations.
Adjustments have been made to a DC offset of less than 1mV (I bring it to the point where my DMM oscillates on both sides of zero, which typically means in the uV range). Also, bias was adjusted to less than 1mV from the specified 25mV between test points. Therefore the distortion values are so vanishingly small and much better than the specified values by technical specifications. See enclosed pictures for my measurements.

Due to all this work, this one will last forever and it sounds absolutely gorgeous. It makes one ponder over how right Sony got it switching so early to solid state - before most others - and how quickly they got ahead at this game. I definitely think this is some of Sony's best work (my ST-5000FW tuner I restored sounds equally gorgeous). Personally, I am a dedicated fan of tube components, and yet this one is a keeper. I have a second unit currently on my bench, so this goes to another audiophile.
Please allow plenty of time for processing the shipping, as times are what they are. I'll do my best to get it moving expeditiously.
Please note pictures are part of the description. I'll include a reproduction of the Owner's Manual.  ________________________________________________________________________ A little more information on this as I'm trying to respond to questions received. To gauge my capacity to evaluate how this performs, my main preamp is an Audible Illusions Modulus, amps are extensively modified Dynaco MKIII monoblocks, speakers are Thiels, and I have had a good number of other components in rotation in my system.    - it's a very revealing, transparent amplifier. The fact that it's a directly coupled, very well thought at DC levels configuration is definitely a factor in this. Given DC levels, there's just one capacitor in the entire signal path of this amp. Additionally, it's by factory setup a film cap (personally, I never leave electrolytics in the signal path if I can help it). Given the rest of my setup, this should be the weak link, but it absolutely holds its own in my chain, and delivers at the level of everything else along the chain.    - it packs a deep punch, mostly due to a massive power transformer (literally, about 1/4 of the volume of this is taken by this transformer - see pics). Also, all capacitors are brand new, and there's added capacitance to the main filtering caps (12,000uF vs. 8,000uF). This adds a good amount of reserve capacity when there demand from the amp due to intense music passages.  Hope this clarifies some of the pending questions out there.
