Pair of Mono-8 Wright Sound amplifiers for sale.  I am the original owner and have had them for about 15 years. These amps are rare and highly regarded by tube enthusiasts.  When run with the Wright Sound WPL20 (which I am also selling) into my Cain & Cain Abbys (up for a local sale) there is a slight, but audible, hum. This goes away when music is played.   The hum is a bit more pronounced when the WPL20 is flipped to phono as opposed to source.

If you Google Wright Sound Mono 8 you can find at least one review on AudioAsylum.

The amps have always been in a smoke-free home and only moved once.  There are no significant dings or scratches on the chassis. I listened to them regularly (4-5 hours a week) for the first few years I had them, for the last 10 years or so they have seen infrequent use, maybe once every couple of weeks for an hour or two. I am not well versed in tube technology but will do my best to answer any questions.
This is my first time selling on Audiogon, but I am willing to provide assurances to the buyer to provide confidence in the transaction.
This is from the Internet Archive Wayback Machine capture of the Wright Sound website: Mono8 Mono Block Power Amplifier

The MONO8 has been re-designed to provide a minimum of 8 watts RMS and 16 watts music power. Although the older version was okay, we decided to change the voltage gain and driver topography to drive the 300B more efficiently. We now use a medium mu stage coupled to a driver to provide higher current and more voltage into moderate grid impedance. The new design uses the 6DN7, a GE tube, to produce more than ample drive to the 300B. The result is more power, great linearity, awesome bass, and low distortion- even into class A-2 operation. Although the MONO8 is best paired with medium-to-high efficiency speakers, it's more than capable of driving systems of average sensitivity. Driven by a 300B power output tube along with a Magnequest© power transformer, the Mono8 features low hum and zero feedback, along with a Pi-filtered power supply and point-to point wiring. An original single-ended design, the Mono8 offers all the magic of a 300B with none of the the drawbacks. (220-240 volt model $1,895 - priced per pair)

Questions for the seller
Are these the original tubes?
Yes. The JJ 300B is an upgrade as George used Sovteks but trying to remember back I think that I upgraded when I first got the amps.
Are you willing to ship the units? If so, is there a carrier that you prefer?
Yes. It will be well packed and double boxed. No preference on carrier.
