Regarding Sanders: An engineering genius. Roger Sanders is a legend in this industry. He was the originator of the modern electrostatic curved panel that Martin Logan uses today. He moved on from that design to start his own company in order to create the ultimate electrostat. He achieved this goal and came out with the Model 10 Electrostatic Speaker which is widely considered the best electrostat. It is brilliant!!! Sounds SO good and is a huge engineering accomplishment! 
Now, in order to run his speakers the best, he created the ESL amplifier. This amp is designed specifically to amplify electrostatic speakers. Another engineering accomplishment. And soon after, he came out with his own patented technology to regulate a linear power supply. He used that technology to create the Magtech Amp which is now know by many as the best amplifier in the audio industry (also has the awards to prove it!). This is an engineering milestone! Sanders is a great company run by a brilliant engineer.. Not just fancy words, but facts and charts showing how his products make your stereo system sound better. 
Personally, both Rich and I, Shawn, use the Magtech in our own personal systems - that's how much we love it!!!   

Regarding this specific amp: Sanders MAGTECH 
"The Magtech Amplifier also uses the same advanced technology that makes the ESL amp able to drive the most difficult loads without performance-degrading, protective circuitry. The Magtech amplifier features a linear voltage regulator. The result is a compact, yet extremely powerful amplifier that is ideally suited to driving the most difficult magnetic speakers." 
This is Sanders top of the line amplifier. It is the best of both worlds - best amp for electrostats and magnetic speakers. When I put this into my system, I heard lower end notes that I've never heard before and the low end energy was dramatic! Also, all the top end edge (I call it ear rape) was gone. Everything was so smooth and silky and gentle without losing the dynamic range. This is an incredible amplifier outputting about 500 watts into 8 ohms and 900 into 4!!!

The amp can take both balanced and unbalanced ends. As an authorized Sanders Dealer, and the only authorized Sanders Dealer in NYC, we carry and can provide any and all Sanders products, even custom products!
