Music Reference Rm9 Mark 1

Up for sale is a very nice Music Reference Rm9 Mark 1 amplifier. The unit has been updated with some new capacitors and various other parts. A iec plug receptacle had been added. New speaker connectors and the rca inputs had been replaced. The power switch was upgraded as well. The Rca and Sylvania el-34 fat boy and input tubes are all included. Those el-34 tubes are expensive these days and in my opinion are glorious sounding in the bass, mids and highs. I had compared many different tubes and these were always my favorites. I do not know their measurements but I remember that some of those readings were very strong according to my technician. All the power tubes are marked by my technician and you can save the pictures in this ad to replace them back correctly. I also have the metal cage which is in fantastic shape although I forgot to take a picture of that. All the print on the unit is in great condition. The wood case is in excellent shape and the top metal plate and bottom metal plate are in nice condition. You can see a service sticker inside and I just had my new technician check it out again. He reset the bias and gave the unit a overall checkup with a big thumbs up ! There are scratches on top of the transformers as seen in the pictures. I almost decided to paint the tops of the transformers only but decided that the new owner should be the decision maker on that. My old technician did apply tape to protect the transformers but when he pulled off the tape that was the result.This unit plays fantastic and is rock steady. (plug and play) The Music Reference has ALWAYS been locked up in my studio with climate control and NO children running around. Never any cigarette smoke allowed. There are NO dents anywhere. This unit has had a very easy life for many many years and has been played very little. The reason I did not use this much is because that I have another unit that I use. I loved these amplifiers so much so I had to have 2 of them. The Mark 1 is preferred by some people as the best transformers but that of course is a matter of opinion. There are others for sale right now and expensive in my opinion. My unit will sell for a fair price. PayPal add 2.9% I have lots of experience in packing and the unit will be overpacked bomb proof.
