Allnic Audio T-1500 MK2

For sale my Allnic T-1500 MK2 integrated. I am the second owner. It will come with a pair of JJ 300B’s (approx. 50 hours of use) and one ea. RCA 6SL7 and 6SN7 with original boxes, graded green and red from The Vintage Tube (with less than 320 hours use each). As soon as I bought this amp I purchased a pair of Takatsuki 300Bs (visible in the images, not included in this sale). While the Takatsukis are undeniably an upgrade, I believe the JJ’s fine reputation is deserved and the RCAs need no introduction.

There’s not much written about this amp so I will give my impressions. I believe the late lamented Art Dudley’s (how sad to write that) very favorable review of Allnic’s A-5000 DHT monos, big brothers to this amp, offer a good introduction to what the T-1500 MK2 does musically. The sound could be characterized as “updated 300B SET”, producing the image depth, refinement, and detail 300B SETs are known for while also succeeding as a fine amp irrespective of the topology. It has considerable drive and a more dynamic presentation than you might normally associate with 300B SETs. It successfully drove both my Living Voice Avatar IIs full-range and the mids and highs in a bi-amp setup with my trusty Legacy Signature III’s.

Besides fine sonics the Allnic has, hands down, the best fit and finish of any component I have owned. That attention to detail is lavished on an, I think, very beautiful and logical physical design. Other components might rival it for sheer good looks but I feel the Allnic walks a nice line between form and substance, its outward attributes exist as much superior sound (i.e. aluminum’s self-damping properties) and as a projection of the solid engineering inside as they do for appearances alone. There is very little in the T-1500’s casework and feature set that cannot be traced to a superior audio experience. There’s near perfection in the junctions between the aluminum panels and once you’ve used the properly located carrying handles you’ll wonder why more amps don’t have them. I am convinced the tube chimneys are as functional as they are handsome, minimizing microphonic behavior in the tubes while physically protecting them and drawing beneficial fresh air over the circuits inside the chassis. Any fear I had that the tubes would not cool properly were dispelled when I found that the perforated metal tops get hot while the chimneys themselves only get moderately warm; obviously the heat is escaping.

As for condition, I could find only one vague cleaning mark just in front of the left 300B. See photo, it is not obvious or easy capture with a camera. I have had zero problems with the amp. What appears to be an unlit LED in the center of the faceplate is the remote sensor.

I am selling to finance new purchases, interested to hear what other components sound like.

Included will be all the original packing, the described tubes, remote, two original tube boxes, and a reprint of the manual. I do not have the original power cord.
