This offering is designed by Pete Millett. With the purchase of the board, I have installed the highest grade components that I can find. That said, the intent of this design is to offer tube based sound for your system without buying new preamps, amps. This is what is called a buffer amp, meaning that there is 1 to 1 amplification. This unit has One RCA Input and One RCA Output. The unit can either be used in between two components in a system, such as a CD player and pre-amp, or between a preamp and amp. The sonic signature of this unit injects EVEN order harmonics into the signal, which is nothing new. All tube equipment does this. SS equipment on the other hand has more of what are called ODD order harmonics, and this is one determining difference between tube and Solid state in general. As it turns out people have a preference for Even order harmonics if that is the choice between the two. >>>>>  I have added an input (signal strength) control to feed the buffer the audio signal at a level best for it. This means that input will not overdrive the tube circuit.
 >>>>> The power supply is a unit purchased from Pangea Audio, and has more than enough drive for this application. This a linear, non switching power supply. It is a robust design. A Pangea power cord is included with this power supply assuring quality from the beginning.
The box that I used to house the unit is as unusual as it is beautiful. This a unit that you won't want to hide in the rack. Parts total is at $250+. I am offering the unit at that price plus shipping, which is likely to be minimal given it's size and weight.
