Mahler: Symphonies 1-10 Neumann - Supraphon - 11 CD

Like his great Czech compatriot, Rafael Kubelik, Vaclav Neumann favored a lyrical approach to Mahler's music, but Neumann enjoyed a great advantage in the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra with its delightful woodwinds and lustrous strings. Supraphon, the once government run Czech recording company was privatized and made very good use of its back catalog, but things have stagnated in recent years. This entire Neumann Mahler cycle was quickly issued on 11 full priced CD's in the 1990's and when it came time to issue the cycle as a whole in 1995, they simply chose to take those 11 CD's in their original plastic cases and house them in an outer sleeve. That is what I am offering here. A few years later, the cycle appeared in the now common cardboard "clamshell" box. CD's in paper envelopes. Now, however, everything has disappeared, and it would be really impossible to assemble this cycle from the individual CD's. Please don't hesitate to send me your questions.
