Sophia Electric 300B Mono Blocks w/ Upgraded Tubes. Price reduced!

 I am selling these Sophia Electric 91-01 300B mono-blocks from my private collection. These amps are current production models and are a little over 1 year old. According to the Sophia Electric website, these amps are hand-made in Virginia, USA and use custom made output transformers that feature mixed vintage (WE) core and with pure OFC copper wire. Power transformers use the same high-end core materials and winding method. The 300B power tubes are Sophia Electric Mesh Plate 300B tubes which sound fantastic. Both driver and rectifier tubes have been upgraded to SE Blue Glass 6SN7 and 274B tubes. The upgraded tubes really make a lot of difference (especially the 274B). The sound is tighter, clearer with better resolution and less grain than the stock Russian/Chinese tubes. When paired with a good passive preamp you will get nice transparency. A good active preamp will deliver improved punch and dynamics (currently using the Schiit Freya S which has both). So how does it sound? If you like 300B tubes, you're in for a treat. The 91-01 delivers the classic 300B romantic sound with modern clarity and high/low frequency extension. Music sounds so wonderfully spacious and REAL with the 91-01. I could listen to these amps for hours. I am selling because I need to free up some cash, but I know I will miss them.

These amps normally retail with stock tubes for $4,999. I've seen a used pair with stock tubes on eBay for $3,699.99. I am selling this pair with UPGRADED tubes for $2,799 plus shipping. I'll even throw in a pair of hospital-grade cryogenically-treated 14-gauge power cords for the amps. At that price, you can't loose. Shipping is fixed at $120 for the 48 contiguous states.
