Fleawatt Audio TPA3116D2 Amplifier (20 watts per channel 8 ohms)

If you haven’t heard about the TPA3116D2 amplifier already and you're in the market for a new amplifier, it's worth some research.  There are over 11,000 posts in the TPA3116D2 section of the DIY audio website, making it the most posted about integrated circuit (chip) in the Class D forum. It has been described as having a very tube like sound, partly due to the low damping factor.  The 3116 is especially wonderful sounding with high efficiency speakers or single driver speakers.  Many owners have described it as having a similar sonic signature as a well made 300B tube amplifier, but with slightly more than twice the power and at a fraction of the cost.  

I hand craft my amplifiers in Northwest Ohio as a hobby. I combine the stunning sounding TPA3116 amp with audiophile parts.  I pay special attention to the regulated linear power supply.   I use an expensive, audiophile transformer and audiophile quality power supply capacitors.

The amplifier is rated at 20 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 40 watts per channel into 4 ohms. I recommend efficient speakers of 94db and higher, or a single driver speaker of any efficiency.

Note: This amp has a small finish flaw near the power switch on the back.  Touch up paint applied, but mentioned out of full disclosure.
