Tandberg TR-2075 Classic collectable, restored, serviced, aligned, tested, with phono section that sounds great and ready to be enjoyed by you and/or for your collection:
Face plate and overall condition is in excellent condition see pictures top of the case has a few small scratches (the case can easily re painted) but is in overall great shape and a fun collectible and great sounding classic highly desirable receiver.
Serial #145949.
The power supply capacitors have been properly replaced, the tuner has been aligned and all switches have been cleaned and unit overall has been tested and is ready to be enjoyed.
This is the Tandberg TR-2075 from Norway. It was built from 1975-1977 and retailed for $999.00 (a lot of $$$ at the time and it is worth it). The Tandberg’s unique styling with the large square push buttons and dark blue meter and dial lights make it easily identifiable. They are very well built receivers and have great FM tuning sections. Their phono section is a little weak though. There was also a later MK II model.
The TR-2075 put out 75 watts per channel in to 8 ohms and had some interesting features such as:
- Toroidal power transformer
- 3 speaker outputs
- 2 headphone jacks
- A Mid tone control
- 515 x 155 x 353 mm or 20.3 x 6.1 x 13.9 inches
- 2 phono and 2 tape sections
You can see in this picture the large toroidal transformer that Tandberg used.
Tandberg receivers are fairly popular with collector’s and audio enthusiasts – especially in Europe. Some models require DIN plugs which can be a little difficult to find.

I am a well-known and highly regarded Los Angeles Audio and Dealer please visit my website at: www.weinhartdesign.com and look at my Audiogon feedback.
My store uses a great service and repair store for all of our service and repair and I have been friends with the owner of the company for more than 30 years. The owner restored and tested the unit and it is in proper working order with everything tested and aligned. Not only is it serviced and repaired and the tuner aligned it has been tested specs correctly and sounds great. I am not looking for a buyer who might find a bulb somewhere out who’s going to say it’s a rotten deal and I did wrong by them but I am telling you it is properly done and it is guaranteed to be as advertised restored working correctly a possible bulb out but all the volume pots cleaned and a several hundred dollar restoration done. My friend the owner is trying to shut down his shop to big and will be working out of his home and this is one of 30 or 40 pieces that I have sold in the last few years (helping him to clear the inventory’s) in which all of my clients have been very satisfied look at my Audiogon feedback.
