Thor Audio TPA-60 mkII

Thor TPA-60 MKII mono blocks: So, these are EL-34 output tubes running very comfortably at 60 watts each.
Boutique builder, Paul Mark was an obsessive genius…a bit mad actually/ suicide and he exhaustively overbuilt his equipment. These really are overkill
for anything I still have now (as I downsize)…..but you….can well use these Thor classics in your dream system, rare and glorious audio jewelry.

Though I find the sweetest sound to be in the lowest powered tubes, sometimes you want/need more power….these mid-power tubes can fill in the soundstage plus bolster and firm the bass while retaining most of the “Aire”.
I find the EL-34’s still have the finesse, warmth and harmonics that make tubes so special.

If your nice speakers can complement and enhance this level of beauty, it would be a stunning set-up. The etched glass, mirrors and silver is just elegant. At night both the lit tubes and a blue lit Thor glass plate are striking.

MkII version with Mundorf Caps. SS# 1013 & 1014, never repaired or any drama. Steady bias, very quiet, no hum.
