Avalon Acoustics Isis

I am offering my Avalon ISIS speakers in Cherry wood finish. These were a rare find which I acquired from a prominent physician (who originally purchased them from Avalon dealer in Delaware),  as he was in the process of retirement and relocation approximately two years ago. They were shipped to Avalon Acoustics in Boulder Colorado for  inspection and I received them from Avalon. The  dampers were replaced with newest current version - original dampers had rare tendency to melt over the years and current version is silicone material! Also, the binding posts were replaced with newest current version as shown in photo and these are nice upgrade. The result is a perfect set of ISIS speakers in original wood crates and with original packing materials and booklet/manual. These are world class full range speakers and their performance is impeccable. Reviews can be found in Stereophile and other leading journals - consistently comparing them to the finest speakers made.  They currently sell for starting price of $89,000.00  from Avalon retailers. My only reason for sale is aesthetic -  my spouse has been  opposed to their rather large and imposing looking (albeit beautiful) appearance. Also,  I love to change equipment and have done so every other year for 30 years.  

The original wood crates are very robust and perfect for safe freight shipping - these are heavy speakers but are to be properly packed for transport _ or picked up locally if you are near Philadelphia.   

I am currently driving them with Dan D'agostino AMP/PRE AMP, and Nordost cables. I previously had tube gear which sounded equally outstanding. 

These are truly very special and a great opportunity for anyone desirous of such fine speakers _at discounted cost. They are rarely seen for resale, very rarely.
